SORT: Songs On Repeat This week (6)

I’ve decided to have a special weekly post where i share what songs i was hooked on in no order.

4 Jun – 10 Jun:

015B feat. Ryu Da Hee (vocalist) – Let me go

This song has a more rock feel to it than most kpop songs. Then again, 015b is not your normal kpop artist. Rather than the song being totally unique or out of this world, they stick to what works without being boring at the same time. Not only do the the lyrics speak up, but the music actually portrays the feelings of the message of the lyrics. If only all kpop songs had lyrics that makes sense.

Joo Hee (8eight) – The same sky, different time

OST to my current favourite drama of the year so far: Queen In-Hyun’s Man. Joo Hee shows of her awesome vocals here and portraying the deepest of emotions with just her voice. And like all other famous OSTs, the drama makes the song, the song makes the drama, and that is what kdrama OSTs are about. The song alone is beautiful, nevertheless, to really appreciate an OST, one can never not watch the actual drama. The song makes use of olden instruments (most probably because the show features the Joseon Era) and the piano to bring out the emotions of… how do you say this? Passion? (anyway it kind of reminds me of the Jackie Chan movie OST ‘Shen Hua’ where he sang the song with a Korean singer)

Juniel – Everlasting Summer

Shinhwa – Hurt

This was the ballad Shinhwa promoted during their Venus promotions. With this song, the guys show the rookies how a ballad is done, rap and all. There’s just so much emotion in their voices, it’s the best kind of song to close your eyes and listen to. Needless to say, Eric is awesome at his rap and it’s enough to melt the hearts of old and new fans (though I adore Hye Sung).

Cross Gene – My Lady

Well, that’s all folks. Look out for the next sunday’s update of my SORT.

Remember to go to my Recommend Me page if you have any good songs you want to share! Otherwise, you can always comment below. =)

  1. Hurts is a really good ballad song, I liked it the first time I hear it. I just start to look for ShinHwa song and I found to little jewel : Voyage and Crazy, if you don’t know those two, you really should listen it ^_^

    • Oh yea, what do you think of the group My Name? i’ve been thinking about writing about them but i can’t really decide how i feel about them yet.

      • To be honest, I didn’t listen any song from them yet, I base me decision on the teaser to know if i should or not when it’s a group that I don’t know and I don’t recall watch or listen it. I think the better way to know if you like them or not, it’s to write about them.

      • Hmm, I’ll think about it
