Kpop in Seou..Taiwan

Lately, doesn’t it seem that Kpop has been quite integrated into Taiwan’s entertainment industry? First there was Skip Beat. With Siwon and Dong Hae of Superjunior acting as leads, the only thing that made me remember it was a Taiwan drama was the language and the lead actress. Now, here comes a collaboration of Vanness Wu from Taiwan and Junho of 2PM. I do feel kind of sad for Taiwan idols, not only do they have to compete within, they now have to compete -hard- with kpop idols in the drama and music scene. And what more but the Taiwan drama and music scene.

I admit i was a bit skeptical about this collaboration when i first saw the title of the video, the song wasn’t great, but it was okay. Well, Vanness Wu seems to like collaborating with foreign talent. Friendly country relations are a good thing, but i’m not sure if this is the right way. Getting Korean idols to act in a Taiwan Drama and then dubbing them in chinese was kind of a turn-off for me. Thankfully, Junho wasn’t dubbed over, imagine how that would be like.

How do you feel about more future Taiwan – Korea collaborations?
